Whirlwind Finish: Wrapping Up Our FIRST Indie Book...

We have a RELEASE DATE: December 14, 2012

Yeah...we're just as excited as Sam and Dean...

We have a FINAL COVER:

We (almost) have ARCs!!!

Book one of The Ending Series, After The Ending, is almost out there for purchase. We've decided to use Amazon's KDP Select, making the ebook exclusive to Amazon.com for the first ninety days. It will also be available through Amazon and other major booksellers (i.e., Barnes and Noble) in paperback and hardcover (which is what we're REALLY excited to get our hands on).

As we reach the final stretch of independently publishing our first book, we felt we needed to express how much we truly respect and admire all of the indie authors who have come before us...and those who are going through the same thing as us RIGHT NOW. It's taken sweat, tears, sleepless nights, troubled dreams, oodles of anxiety, and more excitement and fulfillment than we ever thought possible.

In less than two weeks, our baby (in the form of a post-apocalyptic novel) will finally be stepping out into the world. Go get 'em, Kid.

Second Book of The Ending Series is OUTLINED!

To get BOOK TWO started with a bang, we (the Lindseys) have taken a mini writing retreat. We drove several hours north of Napa and are currently hunkered over our laptops, typing away. As of fifteen minutes ago, the OUTLINE is absolutely, totally, and amazingly COMPLETE! We are so FREAKING excited!

Engagement Phase? : wedding Funny Pictures Cat Is Excited About Ribbons

Like, really, really, REALLY excited!

And we can't believe how many extra crazy awesome neato plot twists and sneaky things have developed for this next book...not to mention the third and fourth volumes of THE ENDING SERIES. Yippeeeeee!

And...now it's time to start chapter one. OMG! OMG! OMG!

Awesomeness, we dub thee google docs

Ok, so maybe that title needs to be reversed. Meh.

The point is, for authors like us (dual Lindseys), google docs is practically a magical gift from the __________ (fill in blank with who/whatever you believe grants magical gifts, we're non-partial).

Why (do we love google docs, not the thing about the magical gift donors)?

Because we can edit the glorious thing (manuscript, WIP, etc.) at the same time. Like together. Like, on different  computers. It. Is. Amazing.

The point, friends, is that if you suddenly find yourselves in a collaborative writing project, consider using google docs. At least to edit. Together. At the same time.

LP: OK, they get it. You're beating a dead horse again.

LF: Oh. Sorry. *shrugs*

Food for thought, er...writing.

Hands down, the most scrumptious forms of sustenance when writing are (in no particular order and, in our humble Lindseyish opinion):

1. Tea
2. Breakfast tacos
3. Cheese
4. Bacon
5. Salami ('cause it's a great partner for the cheese)
6. Wine (especially after 8+ hours of writing, blogging, and social networking, eh?)
7. More Tea
8. Little sandwiches (so we can pretend we're in a Jane Austin novel, duh)
9. Apples (to go with the cheese when it gets to cheesy; one must maximize potential cheese consumption)
10. More cheese
11. More bacon
12. More tea (to counter the sleepiness from the wine)
13. Leftovers from last night's dinner ('cause you need something other than eggs and cheese, or so they* say)
14. Deviled eggs
15. Quiche (eggs + cheese = no explanation required)
16. One last cup of tea (for its sheer deliciousness)

Based on the list, you'd think eggs and cheese are a great writing aid...either that or we just like them.

What are your favorite writing foods (and drinks!)?

*Who "they" are is still under investigation. We're sure "they" must be shoddy thinkers to proclaim such ridiculousness.
